Blogging for the Hard of Hearing

As it’s the weekend, this travelling author is in the mood for some monkey business.

In one of my earliest blogs called “Secrecy” (transcribed below) I encountered the exclusive vibe of a certain town.  This morning in Carlisle I witnessed a similar vibe when I asked a man if he could direct me to the hearing aid store.

“Pardon?” he said.

Will the explorer liked to visit a new place every day, speak to the people, get their vibe.  In one particular small town he found the vibe to be small, insular, wary, suspicious and private.  For example he spotted a sign declaring there was somewhere a Secret Bunker, which piqued his interest.  So on London Road he stopped a man…

“Excuse me,” Will asked, “where is the Secret Bunker?”

“I’m not telling you,” said the man.

And that is why I am not telling the reader which particular small town this is!
