#Alphabet Haiku Challenge – O

Abigail Gronway – Dark Side of the Moon – set this challenge to all of us writers to form an alphabet haiku with the subject plants or animals and in which all of the words begin with the letter O.  I enjoy a literary challenge and I cheated a little on this one by dropping an ‘h’ but hey, rules are made to be broken and I hope you’ll agree the cheat adds to the wordplay.  So here I give you owls…

Overnight owls ‘oot

Oracular orbs, ogling

Ornithologist!

  1. That’s quite a ‘oot! Somehow dropping the h works a lot better in your poem than it does in my comment. 🙂 And I agree 100% that rules are made to be broken. I’ve done it myself. Nice job on the O’s.
