A haiku tribute to those who’ve recently and less recently lost their lives.
Sometimes when homeless William wakes among what he feels is the wreckage of his life he switches on the radio and listens to news about the suffering of others. With his last few pennies he buys a poppy. It’s something but nothing because sometimes he feels ashamed of himself for feeling sorry for himself.
Let us remember
At this time of remembrance
Those worldwide fallen.
